My vision for Inverell region is growing population, farming economies and industry.
A Council team approach to build and assist our businesses and services to meet demand - especially in the areas of Health Services to our town. We don't want any part of the Shire community left out.
What do you think is the single most important issue facing the Inverell area?
The single most important thing is to support and help our businesses and employees get back to work as normal and support locals like we did our farmers in the drought.
Inverell Shire will unite following the unsettling period experienced and together fight Covid with respect for all.
What projects/developments do you intend to advocate for if elected as a councillor?
On projects / developments I will be new to the team if elected and will take an active interest in these by first listening and learn from those who have the knowledge whilst also hearing those who may be impacted by decisions made.
We have ample water and I am interested in methods of ensuring energy security too.
What expertise or attributes do you have which would help you in undertaking the role of councillor?
The attributes I could bring is my experience in business with my husband Bruce over 45 years in service industries, manufacturing and retail. Served on Chamber of Commerce and Regional Advisory Council and supported and sponsored festivals and sporting activities.
I understand the economics of business and having recently sold the Telstra Store I feel I can give back to the town that has loyally supported us. I love our beautiful town and the people of this vibrant Shire.
I will be listening for what we CAN DO not what we CAN'T.
