They got away to a steady start when Jaxon Stafford was dismissed with the total on 14.
The Delungra bowlers kept things very tight and the Compass batsman did not capitalise on much.
Jai Tasker and Joe Smith fell cheaply to some good catches and after an awful mix up Paul Dailey was left stranded without having faced a ball Compass had collapsed to 5-55.
Lex Livermore was the destroyer and had taken five wickets with an over to bowl.
At this point he was taken out of the attack.
This was a bit of a turning point as Josh Kashel 33 put together some handy partnerships to sneak the Compass score to all out 127 in the 38th over.
If not for that Innings, Square and Compass could have been knocked over for less than 80.
Captain Liam Spalding batted patiently for his 14 runs.
Lex Livermore finished with 5-32 and Bailey Edwards 2-15 to be the best with the ball for Delungra.
Delungra knew it would be a challenging target but batted well having lost Mitch Stewart early.
Will O'Brien made a well compiled 27 but the star was Delungra skipper John Krauss with 70 not out off 80 deliveries.
He was able to build several partnerships to steer Delungra home.
At 6-107 the game was still up for grabs but some intelligent batting saw Delungra over the line making 7-128 in 34 overs.
Jai Tasker bowled exceptionally well but without luck to take 0-11 from his eight overs.
Joe Smith was the pick of the wicket takers with 3-16 from his eight overs.
Alex Hull also took three wickets for 45 runs.
Campbell and Freebairn versus Rivendel Renegades
Renegades won the toss and elected to bat on a spongy wicket at McCosker 2.
They lost early wickets but a solid 33 from Mitch Duddy and 13 from Skipper Jack Bennett saw them to 77 but they both fell on the same score.
There was a steady fall of wickets with Lachlan Turner the only other batter to register double figures with 14.
Luke Berger was the best with the ball for Campbell and Freebairn with 3 -21 while Nathan Marsh 2-12, Blake Uebergang 2-20 and Dylan Gardner took 2-18 to leave Renegades all out for 117 in the 39th over.
The Rebels set about running down the target with a strong batting line up.
Jack Cole made a solid 52 in an opening stand of 107 with Brendan Campbell making 26.
Rebels were 2-118 in 27 overs to win the game and move past renegades on the competition table.
Ryley Thom and Noah O'Neill each took a wicket for Renegades.
The A Grade Competition is tight now and the winner will come for the club that keeps consistency in their line ups each week.
B grade
In a late switch after RSM withdrew from the competition Mt Russell Rangers took on Glen Innes in a 40 over match at McCosker 1.
Mt Russell won the toss and elected to bat.
It was almost a one batter show as Angus Harris made an enterprising 92 from 114 deliveries and was the last batter out.
Aaron Boon 13 added a valuable 77 for the 9th wicket to see Rangers to a score of 163 in the 34th over.
Kahn Johnson 2-37 was the best for Glen Innes.
Varun Vasalan, Tim Voigt, Sravan Badagala, Kayne Campbell and Harrison Cooke also took a wicket each for Glen Innes.
Glen Innes started their chase poorly but it was an exciting finish as Glen Innes fell nine runs short of victory with a score of 155.
This was due to a solid effort from the lower order.
Sravan Bagdala score 41 from 32 balls, Alex Portass a patient 28 and Tim Voigt 26 from 30 to almost get Glen Innes home.
Charlie Harris with 3-25 was the best for Rangers with Brad Readett, 2-32 and Mark Brabant 2-18 also bowling well.
