The tent stadium is home to the Absolute Kaos tour which blasts into town on Monday with a week of community involvement.
It all culminates in a show of the nation’s top FMX and BMX stunt riders, DJs such as DJ Sir Salohcin, and our own local talent on wheels.
They arrive in town early to spread the message to youth about good choices, staying in school and bullying.
The team visit local skate parks to spot talent, and work with them and their families to give them a place in the show through the Kaos Youth Extreme Program.
“Normally on the Thursday night we have a youth development program in the tent where the kids come in and have a bit of a practice on the ramps,” James said.
They will choose several riders to perform in the big Saturday night show.
“And the other thing is, it gives the local kids pretty good street cred on Sunday, I’ll tell you,” James chuckled.
He said a youth from the Stanthorpe show, Isaac Berryman, has already been approached by eight sponsors and will join the tour in Inverell.
The showgrounds will also feature local stalls, races by the Inverell Mower Racing Club, and parking money will be collected to donate to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.
