Local couple Ian and Mary Saunders recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with family and friends on October 2. They were married at St. Augustine’s Anglican Church by Canon Battersby on October 1, 1956.

Present were their children Robyn, John, Ann and Douglas and their familes; their siblings, bridal party, many extended family and life long friends.

Guests travelled from Wallalong, Sydney, Albury, Alstonville, Ballina, Brisbane, Armidale and many local areas to be with the happy couple on their special day.
Many thanks to Inverell East Bowls Club for the beautiful meal and setting. A wonderful day was had by all with the wish for many more to come.
