Secretary Ross Provis paced out the boundary of the their new clubhouse extension to be built entirely by members who are all qualified builders. There will be a similar sized meeting area to house more of the club treasures, and a new work space and courtyard for catering events.
“When we built this, it was the only thing we could afford was the first stage at the time, and we always had a plan to do a second stage,” Ross said. Preparation is also underway to offer faceting courses which will be offered by Ron Nancarrow. The club plans to complete stage two by the Gem and Craft show during the Sapphire City Festival.
