A long-time resident in Inverell, Colleen has been involved with several community groups, including the Inverell Art Gallery, Red Cross, Meals on Wheels and McLean Care.
Colleen has been a regular participant in fundraising campaigns and arranges Trauma Teddies through the Red Cross to provide comfort to children during medical emergencies.
As the winner of the Woman of the Year for the Northern Tablelands electorate, Colleen attended the 2017 NSW Women of the Year Awards at a ceremony in Sydney on the morning of International Women’s Day, on Wednesday, March 8.
There were a record number of nominations across NSW for the 2017 NSW Women of the Year Awards.
Now in their sixth year, the awards recognise and celebrate which recognise women who have made outstanding contributions to society.
