Mr Don Bartlett, President of Inverell Jockey Club, died suddenly last week aged 62. A public memorial service will be held at Inverell Racecourse at 10am on Wednesday, September 20, 2017. Mr Bartlett was responsible for several new improvements to the racecourse, and bought new sponsors to the club.

He had been president of IJC since 2014 and in that time had been responsible for several new improvements to the racecourse, bought new sponsors to the club along with a new enthusiasm.
Mr Bartlett was known for his active involvement with several sporting organisations in Inverell. He was a small shareholder in many racehorses.
The family of the deceased and the Inverell Jockey Club invite all his friends to attend the service. After the service, farewell drinks will be offered at the course that Bartlett had worked so hard to maintain.
