“We have vehicles from Queensland, Sydney – very unusual and very innovative vehicles,” Museum president Kevin Dunn said.
Lauren Zell from the Office of Environment and Heritage spoke to children about Inverell as a ‘renewable capital’, and why the area is well suited to solar and wind farms.
Tomorrow will be an exciting day, with GetGreen to launch the ACE-EV line, believed to be the first Australian-made commercial electric vehicles. Although the cars are not ready for display, company co-founder Greg McGarvie will provide insight into their manufacture.
“There’s a lot to see,” Mr Dunn said, pleased with the wide array of guest speakers.
“There’s a gentleman who traveled around the world in 80 days in an electric car who’s going to give a talk, and there’s another who was the first to drive a car around Australia,” he said.
