Greens David Shoebridge MLC officially launched Dr Dorothy Robinson's election campaign on Wednesday afternoon outside Armidale's Visitor Information Centre with the prediction that the Greens would hold the balance of power in a hung NSW Parliament after the State Election on March 23.

"I've been talking to a lot of people around this State and they're saying the same thing. That this Liberal/National Government deserves to lose, but Labor does not deserve to win," he said.

"So, it's likely we will have a minority government, and in those circumstances, Greens members in both the Lower House and Upper House will form a crucial part of a majority in the next government."
On an energy platform, Mr Shoebridge said to meet Paris commitments and deliver 100 per cent renewable energy in NSW, we needed to get out of coal fired power generation by 2030 by building one gigawatt of renewable energy every year for the next decade.

He said it was time we stopped talking about the renewable energy revolution, and time we built it. Mr Shoebridge said the Greens would build four renewable energy infrastructure hubs across the state and one of those would be on the Northern Tablelands.
"Energy will be generated in the regional areas including the Northern Tablelands. It just needs the distribution network to get the power produced by those projects to market," he said.

"The Greens are committed to these energy hubs. We're committed to delivering 100 per cent renewables for NSW, regardless of whether any individual candidate is elected."
Greens candidate Dr Dorothy Robinson also put environmental health, fair energy prices, climate change, and efficient government at the top of the Greens list of offerings to voters in Northern Tablelands.
"This idea is one that we've picked up off the experts and run with because we really need to call out the gas and coal lobby," she said.
"Other politicians appear to be listening to the lobbies rather than the experts, and the Greens want to do what is right for our economy and our region.
"“Northern Tableland residents see all around them what happens when state governments listen only to political donors and the ideology of privatisation."
