Police are reminding residents to diligently lock doors and windows following a spate of scattered break and enters.

Chief Inspector Rowan O'Brien urged residents to report any incidents and suspicious persons or activity to police.
A residence in Clive Street was broken into between 10pm on Thursday, May 9 and 9am Friday, May 10.
"Unknown persons have entered the residence via a rear sliding door. Once inside the premises they have stolen a number of wallets and cash."

The residents were home at the time but did not notice anything until the following morning.
Police also received reports from a resident in Henderson Street who was awoken by her dog barking.
At around 3.30am on Friday, May 10 she discovered a male in her house who ran out the rear door. She later found her mobile phone and purse had been stolen.
Ch/Insp. O'Brien said an attempted break and enter occurred at about 12.50am on Sunday, May 12.
"A resident in Gordon Street heard someone attempting to open a rear door. When they turned on the security light outside they saw a male person running out of the yard."
The man was described as about 170cms tall with a skinny build wearing dark clothing including a black hoody.
Then, between 9pm and 6am on Sunday, May 12 to Monday, May 13 unknown persons entered a house on Warialda Road via the back screen door.
A number of items were stolen including cash from a bedside table. The residents were home at the time but did not notice anything until the morning.
Ch/Insp. O'Brien confirmed enquiries were continuing into the incidents.
"Police are requesting residents to call police immediately by either ringing Inverell Police on 67220599 or dialling 000 if they detect any suspicious activity in their neighbourhoods."
