According to Inverell police, the cattle were sighted wandering along the Kings Plains Road on Friday evening.
Contact was made with the property owner who was unable to locate the cattle that night and further efforts since have proved fruitless.
Twenty-one mixed-breed cows are missing from the property. They are a mix of Hereford, Santa, Angus and dairy-breed X.
Investigators say the cattle vary in colours including red, black, white and black as well as red and white. They feature an earmark 'W' out of the point of the nearside ear.
They also have a blue management tag in their ear with the brand which is also on the cattle being 3P over a bar and then a large number under that. The cattle are branded as well 3P over bar.
Investigators from the Rural Crime Prevention Team at Inverell are keen to speak with any person who may be able to assist with any information in relation to the missing cattle.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Rural Crime Prevention Team in Inverell on 6722 0530/31 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. Use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page: https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au/
