Father and son golfers, Jason and Lachlan Coakes, produced excellent rounds of golf at the Inverell Golf Club on Saturday.

Son, 15-year-old Lachlan, finished nine under his handicap, nett 61, to take out the March Sutton Insurance Brokers Monthly Mug, three shots ahead of his nearest rival, Paul Amos. Lachlan has taken 7.6 off his handicap in the last five weeks.
Dad, Jason, finished with nett 36 and giving him third spot overall and the B Grade winner's prize.

Lachlan and Jason had combined back in January to take out the Hotondo Homes 4-BBB during the Sapphire Cup.
Grade winners in the Monthly Mug, were A Grade - Harry Edmonds, 66, B Grade - Jason Coakes, 66, and C Grade - Paul Amos, 64.
Place getters were Ted Edmonds, Jack Hepi, Anthony Hyde and Bob Watson, all with nett 67. Nearest the pins were won by Steve Glover and Ken Austin.
The course and greens look a treat at the moment after heavy rain last week filled two of the dams and left the 3rd dam well on the way to filling.
The gully running through the course is now also full of water.
Greenkeeper, Ben Watling, assistant, Andrew Bowen, and the mowing volunteers have done a great job keeping things in order.
The first round of the President's Cup was completed on Sunday with some close results. Jason Shaw and Ashley Walters went to the 20th hole before Ashley took that match.
Of the 16 matches, seven went to the 16th hole or further.
The second round of the Cup is to be completed by next Sunday, March 14.
Four Inverell golfers, Harry Edmonds, Dylan Lewis, Matt Reece and Nick Cumming travelled to Tamworth on Sunday and managed to take first place in the Volkswagen Scramble at the Longyard Golf Course.
They will now travel to the Vintage Golf Club in the Hunter Region late April for the next round.
In special events coming up the Inverell Golf Club is running a 4 Person Ambrose, Saturday, March 20.
