While the weekend was overcast and cloudy with scattered yet heavy rainfall across the New England, Monday's fallings are proving to be the biggest yet.

Within 24 hours up to 12pm on Monday, several stations have already recorded more than 25mms of rain: Gravesend has had 28mms, Terry Hie Hie has recorded 39mms and Delungra has been soaked with 44mms.
Inverell has had 27mms, Tingha has recorded 38mms, Middle Creek, Ferndale has recorded 30mms and Kimberly has noted 40mms.
Despite the rain, the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) has said flooding was no longer expected for the North West Slopes, including the Gwydir and Upper Macintyre rivers, after an earlier alert.
Across the weekend, some rain left New England paddocks lush and green, however some towns got luckier than others.
According to the BoM, Inverell had less than one millimetre of rain fall on Saturday, but momentum increased with 3.4mms coming down on Sunday.
While there was no entry for Friday's recordings, WeatherZone had 26.2mms recorded, following on from 18.4mm falling on Thursday.
More rain is expected, with the BoM outlining a 90 per cent chance of rain for the rest of Monday, a 10 per cent chance on Tuesday and 60 per cent chance of 1 to 10mm falling on Wednesday.
Armidale recorded just over 12mms on both Friday and Saturday, and 13mms on Sunday after a severe storm warning was issued.
Monday has already seen 23.6mms in the gauge, topping up the monthly rain so far to a total of 58.8mms.
The city has a 80 per cent chance on rain for the rest of Monday, only a 30 per cent chance of 0 to 0.4mm on Tuesday, but increasing to 70 per cent chance of 3 to 10mms on Wednesday.
Moree's rainfall of just 0.2mms of rain from Friday to Sunday was dismal in comparison. Yet by Monday the BoM station at Moree Aero had already recorded 14.4mms.
The plains have a 40 per cent chance of rain for the rest of Monday, a 20 per cent chance on Tuesday. Wednesday is the most promising, with a 60 per cent chance of 8 to 30mms landing.
Goondiwindi has already had 8.4mms since 9am on Monday, following on from 8.4 the day before, with nothing falling on Friday and Saturday.

Yet while it's remained relatively dry in comparison to the other towns, the rest of the week is predicted to be more bountiful.
Tuesday has a 50 per cent chance of 0 to 3mms, with Wednesday 70 per cent of 10 to 30mms and Thursday 60 per cent of 2 to 10mms.
On the border, Tenterfield lucked out with a spit of just 0.6mm on Friday.
The town has a 40 per cent chance of up to 2mms on Tuesday and a 70 per cent chance of up to 20mms on Wednesday.
