Despite early information indicating the Sapphire City would receive doses of the vaccination on Monday, the precious cargo arrived in a mid-week delivery.
Mayor Paul Harmon said the arrival was good news for those in the community wanting to take up the option of getting the shot.

"There are a couple of clinics and surgeries that are administering the vaccine, so for those members of community that wished to take advantage of the availability, it is good news for them," he said.
He said it'd be hard to say what impact having the vaccination would have on morale of the town, considering Inverell had been "a little isolated" from any real COVID issues".
"Some people feel quite safe, and a number of people I've spoken to have mixed feelings about he vaccination," Cr Harmon explained.
"I've spoken to many people who have told me that they won't have it, as to ones that say they will have it, it's a personal choice - so it will be interesting to see what the uptake will be."
Minister for Regional Health and Federal Member for Parkes Mark Coulton noted earlier in the week that extreme weather conditions in many parts of NSW will result in some communities receiving their first vaccines a little later than expected.
"The Government is working with the NSW Government and global logistics experts to ensure this delay is minimised," he stated.
"We ask for the public's patience and understanding with these unforeseen supply delays."
