C&F batted first with Jackson retiring however Leo and Rocky were dismissed to put the player number's diminished side in trouble. The team of six managed to push through with wickets to spare and a total of 76 runs.
Tom and Ryan were the key wicket takers for RSM. This put RSM in a good position for their innings. Louis and Jack J started the run chase in earnest however C&F’s bowlers and fielders were relentless in protecting their total.
Henry bowled 4 for 1 off two overs to claim the match ball and Leo 2 for 2. A great catch was taken by Annalisa to dismiss danger man Harley from scoring possible winning runs.
Dalton remained not out for the side though they couldn’t match the total. C&F have booked their ticket to the Grand Final on the 22nd. Well played to all cricketers in a fantastic display to all spectators.
In the Square & Compass verse Staggy Creek match Staggy went in as the leading team however Jayden and Howie from S&C set to task on posting a big total. All batters contributed including EJ who banked a four after only a couple of balls at the crease.
Nick, Rocco, Evan and Luke all claimed wickets for Staggy providing excellent figures and keeping the team focussed. With a very good score of 99 to win, Staggy sent in specialists Wes and Rocco. Both were dismissed, though only after some handy runs were added.
The big hitters of Lawson and Nick both added some handy boundaries with Zac and Damon also both contributing well with the bat.
Fergus and Jayden took wickets with the ball, as did Mallee who posted 1 for 4 off two overs. In a close match Staggy made it over the line with 100 runs to put themselves in to the Grand Final against C&F in two weeks time.
This week, on March 15, will be social matches in 10s and 12s at the normal times. Colts will play their semi finals at Varley on Friday afternoon/evening.
