The single stableford was won with an inspiring effort by Matt Warrell. Matt, playing off a handicap of six, scored 41 points. He blitzed the bottom nine, recording five pars and four birdies for a four under par 32. Dave Scofield took second place with 40 points in a countback with Leon Paton and Matt Sutton.
Other place getters were Rod Jones, 39, and Jim Shadlow and Phil Fox with 38 points. While all had impressive scores, Phil's was particularly noteworthy because, playing off a handicap of two, he managed three birdies, three bogies and 12 pars to par the course for the day. It's tough work when you par the course and only just pick up the last position in the place getters.
Nearest the pins were won by Leon Paton, 4th , John Coote 6th and 12th, and Jim Shadlow, 17th, with Jim picking up the pro-pin.
