A tidy, well-signed course and perfect weather ensured positive feedback flowed in from all who rode.

Inverell Mountain Bike Club secretary Michelle Rees said there was a good mix of junior and senior competitors, with a few of the juniors teaming up to take on the longer, 11km track.

"We had good numbers from Tamworth and Armidale travel over and good local participation as well.

"We had a lot of positive feedback on the course."

Michael Sherwook took out first place in the 6-hour solo male division. Completing 10 laps (110kms), his time was 6 hours a six minutes.

In second place was Russell Maxwell and Brett Fox in third.

Rees was named the 6-hour solo female winner after completing seven laps in six hours and 30 minutes, riding a total of 77kms.

Steven and Justin Roberts took top spot for the 6-hour male pairs riding 10 laps in six hours and four minutes. In second place was Campbell Walsh and Jock Hollis and in third was Ian Rees and Charlie Horwood.

Debbie Blake and Tara Schalk won first place for the 6-hour female pairs. Brad Newman and Jodi Mayled completed 10 laps in six hours and 25 minutes to win first place in the 6-hour mixed pairs.

Maris Trainer and Roddy Christie rode in second place in front of Ann Buchan and Marin Siddon in third.

In the teams of three NIAS took out first place, Wilko/Sundo and Al rode home second and the Old Farts crossed in third.

BC Bikes took out first place for the teams of four, followed by COG Crushers in second and Dusty Dingos in third.

The solo three hour winner was Luke Stephen who completed five laps in three hours and 26 minutes. Sam Feltham rode in second and Robert Maxwell was third.

Ben Shaw took out the win in the junior U13 category, Hunter Riberio was second. Dyllon Daley won the U17 division.

Inverell Mountain Bike Club encouraged residents to take advantage of the track's recent clean-up and updated signage.

"We have this great facility out there at Copeton, and it gives families something more to do... While it's in good condition families should head out and give it a go," Ian Rees said.

The inclusive track is built to suit all ages with A and B lines available.

"You can ride along as a family and when you get to the more difficult areas, you can take the easier track."

Families are encouraged to head out the Reflections Holiday Park at Copeton Dam to take on the track.

Inverell Mountain Bike Club thanked Reflections and the Sapphire Wind Farm for sponsoring the day.
