Issuing a flood bulletin Monday afternoon, NSW SES say the flooding at Boggabilla and Goondiwindi is easing.
However, there is a trough system approaching later in the week, with a further 20 to 30 mm of rain possible.

In the meantime, Minor to Moderate flooding is easing along the Macintyre River downstream from Holdfast, between New Kildonan and Goondiwindi. Minor to Moderate flooding is rising further downstream of Goondiwindi between Carana Weir and Terrewah.
At Boggabilla, the Macintyre River at Boggabilla peaked at 7.77 metres around 05:00 pm Sunday and is currently at 7.15 metres, classified as 'minor flood' and falling.
The Macintyre River at Boggabilla is likely to fall below the minor flood level (5.00 m) over the course of Tuesday. The causeway, known locally as 'The Boonal Bridge', may be closed.
Rural residents living west of this point may have no direct access to Boggabilla. Alternative routes may be available via Yetman and the Bruxner Highway.
At Goondiwindi, the Macintyre River peaked at 7.40 metres around 06:00 pm on Sunday. It is currently at 7.02 metres, classified as moderate flood, and falling slowly.
The Macintyre River at Goondiwindi is likely to fall below the moderate flood level (6.00 m) during Tuesday.
The Boonangar Crossing may now be closed to light vehicles.
