Bradley Craig Mottram is facing one count of murder after he allegedly killed his mother, Simone Mottram, in her Froude St house in Inverell on October 19, last year.
During a mention of the case in Armidale Local Court on Wednesday, Magistrate Michael Holmes granted an application to stand the matter over for one month.
He made no application for bail and it was formally refused.
Mottram is yet to enter a plea to the charge of murder and is also facing charges of taking and driving a conveyance without consent, never licensed person drive on road and negligent driving.
In September, the court heard more evidence from investigators had been served on Mottram’s defence.
At the time, his solicitor said her client had been assessed by psychiatrist and were awaiting a report.
Mottram has been in custody since he was arrested on the day of the alleged murder.
