A young boy is in a serious condition in hospital after nearly drowning in a creek in Tingha, with his rescuers quick to perform CPR while emergency assistance came.
The three-year-old was pulled from the water by a man and a woman on Monday afternoon, after they were told the boy was in the creek.
They gave the child CPR while NSW Ambulance paramedics and officers from New England Police District came.
The boy was taken to Inverell Base Hospital, before being airlifted to the Gold Coast Hospital in a serious condition.
His remained in a serious condition as of Tuesday.
Police are investigating the incident, however at this stage are not treating the near-drowning as suspicious.
